Faro!!! What Else?

Capital of the Algarve since 1975, Faro is a busy cosmopolitan city. Its population is boosted by a thriving student population, which in turn creates a vibrant nightlife. This city is a great place to soak up some true portuguese culture, as it is still a traditional portuguese town and definately not a tourist resort.

Hostel 33 is excellently situated to discover the delights this vibrant historical city has to offer. Whether you are here for a cultural break or sun, sea, sand and good times, Faro has something for everyone. Our knowledgeable staff can provide you with all the information you need to make the most out of your stay here.

No matter how you are travelling, Hostel 33 is easy to reach, with an excellent bus connection from Faro airport, only 40 metres from the train station, and a short walk from the bus terminal, you won´t have far to travel before you can start enjoying the best of Faro!

Located in the heart of the city, the best attractions in Faro are within a short walking distance. Medieval castles, curious museums, a chapel made of bones, shops, restaurants and much more! Catch a play or listen to a fado singer at one of the many theatres that abound in this city of culture.

Want to top up your tan? Catch a ferry to one of the many islands situated within the Ria Formosa natural park, spend your day swimming in clear blue waters, off long sandy beaches. Fancy checking out the local flora and fauna? Take a guided walk or a kayak tour. Faro island is also accessible by bus, the bus stop is just 20 metres from Hostel 33, here you can book a lesson at the watersports centre or treat yourself to a lunch of fresh fish whilst enjoying the view!

Here at hostel 33 we want to make sure you get to see the highlights of Faro in a fun and relaxed enviroment. In the evening why not join us for one of our roof top barbecues, or maybe a pub crawl of the best bars.
